I’m Kerri, Interior Designer at House of Sass.
My Story
My journey into interior design has been anything but ordinary, but it’s a path that truly reflects my love for creating beautiful and functional spaces.
I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Textiles Design for Interiors and Fashion specialising in print design. This along with work experience in Amsterdam, equipped me with a strong foundation in pattern development, fabric manipulation, colour theory, and trend forecasting. Skills that I still use in my interior design work today!
My career began in visual merchandising, where I honed my ability to create stunning, cohesive displays. But after taking some time out to raise my daughters, I found myself drawn back to the world of design and continued to fuel my creative passion by designing home prints, stationary and wallpaper.
It was in those moments that my design flair began to shift more toward interiors. I started working on projects for family and friends, and the satisfaction of transforming spaces for them was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. That’s when I realised: Interior design was where I truly belonged!
House of Sass is the result of this revelation. The name comes from a nickname my family has affectionately called me—Sassie—which perfectly captures my bold, playful approach to design. I like to think of every space I work on as a reflection of its owner’s personality, with a bit of extra flair (and, of course, a touch of sass!).

When I’m not designing, you can find me crafting with my daughters, exploring local markets for unique treasures, or experimenting with new DIY projects at home.
